I've always been interested in photography, of how a picture can tell more than a thousand words. The challenge to frame the photograph and tell the story in a different perspective. Even more than that, photography lets you keep a steady hold onto your memories. Bitter sweet memories of your life that you would want to reminiscence. I really am amazed to see pictures of my mum in her high school days from over 40 years ago. I can't imagine how I would feel if I were to look back at my high school memories 40 years down the road.
I was starting to feel rather confined with my P&S camera. First started taking photos during my high school days in 2003. DSLR for me started in 2009, with 'poison' from a few particular people. My cousins started wielding it and when I got into contact with some 'poison' from my university mate, Titus with his Nikon, it made me want to take the next step from P&S. Especially after the trip to Greece in the summer of 2009, I was amazed with what DSLR is capable of, and I firmly decided then that I need to get involved. I've always been using Canon, and naturally Canon was my first choice.
So, armed with my Canon EOS 450D, I'm embarking on my journey into photography. With this photoblog, I hope to share with you the memories of my travels and experiences.
